Furrious: Daddies in Regression

In Furrious: Daddies in Regression, artists Otto Krause and Milan Loviška continue their ongoing experiments in furrification and plushification. Crashing the exhibition opening of AFTER THE LAST READY-MADE with softness and childlike roleplay, they pervert the line between spectator and intruder, artwork and performer. On a quest to cutify the exhibition space and its proceedings, they unsettle familiar modes of display and participation, probing what might come after the ready-made.

The exhibition AFTER THE LAST READY-MADE focused on textile work, crafting and sensitive creative processes. The ready-made once marked a radical gesture: the moment an ordinary manufactured object could be displaced, renamed, and reimagined as art. A century later, the logic of ready-made commodities has become the logic of everyday life. Our clothes, our identities, even our desires are “off the rack” and offered to us as standardised, readily available, and endlessly replaceable objects.

Besides the opening performance the artists exhibited there the participatory installation Furrious: Pegacorn ASMR Station (2018) and the video Furrious: Underwater (2018).
